Earth spa Kouri compact double lounger

Manufacturer: LeisureConcepts

  • $0.00

The Kouri is a compact spa with two lounger seats.  It's 85" long, 67" wide and 34" floor to top.  It's great for 2 or 3 adults.  This spa has a huge 3 hp pump that feeds well over 100 GPM to the 31 powerful jets.  In addition to that high output massage therapy pump the Kouri also has another pump that is specially designed for super energy efficient, near silent heating and filtration.  Yes, this little spa is a 2 pump model!

It's got some really nice calf jets plus low, mid and high back jets and in this unique design it's got two awesome lay down lounger seats plus a really nice bucket seat.   The small step is great for getting in and out but also serves as a nice cool down seat when you get a little too warm but aren't quite ready to get out.

Each seat includes a nice soft pillow.  There are 3 laminar fountains that are backlit for some amazing ambiance. You can even set them to continuously change color.  Since this spa is feature packed, is it any surprise that it's also got a built in bluetooth stereo system with great sounding waterproof speakers and a subwoofer down below for some great bass too.  Not only does the LED lighting light up the inside of the spa but there are also lighted cupholders on the top lip of the spa, lights right as the water surface that shimmer across the spa, lights underwater to beautifully light up the entire body of water and if that weren't enough, it's also got lighted exterior corners.  Yes the cabinet lights up from top to bottom at each corner on all sides!

The top load filter system includes 2 separate filters to keep the spa really clean.  One filter serves as the primary suction port for the super efficient circulation pump and the other feeds water to the large jet pump so your filtration is increased to the maximum whenever you are in the spa and using the jets.  To keep your water as clean as possible with as little effort as possible it's also equipped with an ozone purification system.

This spa uses a diverter valve system to direct the jet water to whatever seat or area you want.  Notice the large black knob on the top lip of the spa.  That is a diverter valve for the super powerful jet pump.  In one position 100% of the water from that pump will be diverted to one seat or one cluster of jets.  100%!  That makes that area crazy powerful.  If you turn the valve the other direction it will send all that water to a different seat.  If you turn that valve half way it will feed water to both of the seats equally.

Not only is the seating and jetting near perfect, the construction of this spa is better than any spa I've ever seen.... and I seriously mean that.  As you look at other (lesser) brands of spas you will notice that most manufacturers do not mention how they are built, what the frame is made of, what the insulation is made of, how is it insulated, etc.  Sometimes they make up words or abbreviations that tell you nothing.  Why?  Because those parts of the spa are not anything they want people to even know about, it's not their best effort.  They use cheap blown foam or styrofoam boards or worse.  We want to talk about all of it!  We're proud of how these are built and insulated because they are better than anything we've sold in over 40 years.

It's built on a stainless steel frame so there will be no rotting wood frame here.

Yes, precision welded stainless steel is what the frame is made of.  We've got a few spas that still have wood frames and those are generally the lower end models.  We also have spas that have galvanized steel frames that I would consider to be nearly comparable to this stainless steel frame.  We also have have some made with composite lumber frames.  That material is also non corrosive but it can sometimes be a little brittle unlike stainless or galvanized steel.

So not only does this spa have a welded stainless steel frame but they even make mounting stands for the components to keep them up off the bottom of the spa. I have never seen a manufacturer do this.  Every other manufacturer just puts the components, (power pack, circuit board, heater, pumps, etc) on the bottom of the spa, usually mounted on a board fastened to the bottom.  Obviously this is the least expensive way of mounting the components and the spa will work fine but there are many advantages to mounting things up on platforms.  The first obvious reason is that in the event something should ever fail and water fills the base of the spa,  your equipment is protected from getting wet because it's up on it's platform! Ingenious!

Along the lines of keeping a spa operating quietly and smoothly, raising the motors up onto stands helps this spa to be as quiet as possible by isolating it from the base of the spa.   These are much easier to work on too because the components that are raised up as opposed to something sitting below the edge of the base of the spa.

Earth spas all have (and this is a very important feature) a dedicated high efficiency circulating / heating pump.  Other brands have circulation pumps but they're usually those tiny, not very reliable, little pumps.

Earth spa Glenco shown above for light illustration.

Earth spas uses specially made super high efficiency full sized 48 frame circulation pumps.  You can set this pump to run as much or as little as you need for your particular usage.  I personally like my water crystal clear so I have mine set to run nearly 24 hours a day and for just pennies.

Another unique feature is that each motor has a waterproof shroud over it.  This prevents any water from dripping into the motor in the event of a leak somewhere or if the spa was overfilled or overloaded to the point that water could get into that area.

What makes our Earth spas nearly silent?  The high density waterproof perimeter insulation with heat reflective foil vapor barrier on all sides and even the bottom is as tight and precise as I've ever seen.  This keeps and uses all the friction heat generated by the motors and the water moving through the lines.  It all stays captured inside the cabinet along with any motor sound too, so it's super quiet.

The worlds leader in spa electronics, Gecko is what you'll find in most models.  Gecko equipment packs are easy to wire and super reliable.  You can see in the following photos how the equipment is mounted elevated on the welded stainless steel frame.

Welded stainless steel construction with thick foam insulation fit tightly between the stainless steel structure.  This spa is solid, quiet, efficient, and the best built spa you will find at any price.

I have seen manufacturers that glue and clamp their fittings but I have never seen one that glues and clamps each fitting using a stainless steel clamp.... until now!

Earth spas manufacturers several models that have all these same great features in various sizes.
