2026 Custom Cut Sauna information & options

A "custom cut" sauna is a permanently installed sauna that is built into your home or backyard.  We offer custom saunas of virtually any shape or size and we can adapt to just about any space that you have available.  Custom saunas can be framed from scratch inside finished or unfinished spaces.  The exterior can be finished in virtually any way.  

We offer framing, insulating, demo (if needed), and installation of custom saunas.  Essentially a full build service for reasonable pricing.

Interior Styles:

Twilight interior: 
This can be added to any of the wood choices, although we typically add it to Spruce/Abachi.  It adds the Twilight backrest, and Twilight upper bench skirts, and uses the Twilight style bench with horizontal African Abachi benches with Heat Treated Alder accents

This uses a Hemlock ceiling and benches, with the Black Taika wall panels

Heater Types:

We have multiple heater options available, and also custom Infrared or Hybrid/Combination saunas.

Finnleo heaters:

  • Designer SL2 heater with WiFi controls: Made in Finland, stainless steel construction, full WiFi functionality

  • The Himalaya is our top end Finnleo heater.  It holds 200lbs of rocks and is a freestanding heater that can be integrated into the benches in larger saunas.  It comes with the BWT water tank that you can fill with water and automatically humidify the room while you heat it.  The BWT tank has a place for fragrances also


  • Laava commercial heaters (10, 12, or 14kw) are incredibly powerful heaters often used in commercial applications or larger private saunas.  Many commercial saunas in the Madison area have Finnleo Laava heaters

  • Infrared or Hybrid Infrasauna:

Any custom sauna can be done in Infrared or a combination traditional/Infrared if you desire:

  • Finsauna Proheat with Harvia Xenio WiFi controller.  Made in Finland, stainless steel construction, holds rocks and is perfect for steam!

  • IKI Pillar Multiple sizes available based on room size, the IKI Pillar series gives you the rock tower aesthetic with the great performance IKI heaters are known for

  • Saunuum Air Perfect.  This revolutionary sauna heater has a built in adjustable circulatory system designed to pull hot air (and steam) off the top of the heater and pump it towards the floor, equalizing the room temperature from top to bottom, avoiding the temperature gradient typical of normal saunas.  Combined with Himalayan salt crystals in the lower tray.  This heater comes with the Air IQ WiFi control system


Outside of Sauna:

Depending on your situation, sometimes exterior material is required.  Here are some examples of the outside of custom saunas
